Ghana is known as the "Gold Coast" and the "Hometown of Cocoa" with splendid culture and friendly people. Ghana is the earliest country who gained independence in Sub-Sahara Africa and one of the countries in Africa with the fastest growing economy.

China and Ghana enjoy time-honored friendship. Ghana is one of the earliest countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic relationship with China. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 60 years ago, the traditional friendship between China and Ghana has been continuously reinvigorated and renewed, achieving fruitful results. China-aided projects such as the National Theatre and the Stadium in Cape Coast have become the landmarks in Ghana. In recent years, the China-Ghana cooperation has shown a good momentum of comprehensive development and is facing important development opportunity.
