Starting from April 29, 2023 (local time), China-bound travelers are allowed to use Antigen Rapid Test (ART, including ART home testing kit) to replace PCR Test. Airline companies will no longer check the negative PCR or ART test results. To facilitate traveling, the Chinese Embassy in Ghana has updated Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers. In order to avoid any travel delays and disruptions, please read the following information carefully and strictly abide by it.
Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers
I. Pre-boarding Nucleic Acid Test
All China-bound travelers are allowed to use Antigen Rapid Test (ART, including ART home testing kit) to replace PCR Test within 48 hours before boarding, and can only travel to China when your test result is negative or after it turns from positive to negative.
ll. Health Declaration to China Customs
You are required to declare your negative test result to China Customs by filling in the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat mini-program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn/htdeclweb/home/pages/index/index.html, or via the China Customs APP.
Ill. Airline companies will no longer check the negative ART or PCR test results before boarding.
IV. Self-protection on the Aircraft
You are suggested to strictly follow the epidemic prevention and control requirements of airline companies and take good personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.
V. Inspection upon Entry
You need to go through China Customs with your health declaration result. Those whose results and routine quarantine inspections are normal can enter China. China Customs will take random testing. If there are anomalies in your health declaration or you are showing symptoms such as fever, you need to cooperate with China Customs on epidemiology investigation and medical checking, and accept sampling testing on relevant infectious diseases.
VI. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control
After entry into China, you will have to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the place where you stay.
