The Chinese Embassy in Ghana donates Office Equipments to the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Accra

On January 19, 2016, Political Counsellor Wang Sheng from the Chinese Embassy in Ghana donated some office equipments to the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Accra on behalf of the Embassy, and Liao Qingsheng, Director of Consular & Visa Section of the Embassy participated in the hand-over ceremony.

Counsellor Wang Sheng spoken highly of China-Ghana bilateral relations and already existed good cooperation in the fields of police and law enforcement between the two countries, and he said that it is highly appreciated that the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Accra has rendered China great support and close collaboration in the field of tracking down fugitives and claiming back the lost assets as well as fighting against transnational organized crimes. He hoped that both sides will continue to enhance cooperation in those areas. China is willing to offer support in terms of equipments and personnel training within its capacity to the Ghanaian police. He hoped that the equipments donated by the Chinese Embassy this time will help the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Accra to improve law enforcement efficiency and capacity building to better maintain the good security and safety environment of Ghana..

Mr.Prosper, Director of Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service, expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for its donation and long standing support extended to the Ghana police by the Chinese side. He sang high praise of cooperation achievements regarding fight against transnational organized crimes and police personnel exchanges and training ,and he said that the Ghana police would as always assist China in its efforts to track down fugitives and claim back lost assets and push the cooperation in police and law enforcement between the two sides to a new high.

The Chinese Embassy in Ghana donated five computers and other office equipments to the National Central Bureau of INTERPOL in Accra this time.
