Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong Paid a Call on Minister for Justice & Attorney General of Ghana

On 8th March 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong paid a call on Hon. Ms. Gloria Akuffo, the new Minister for Justice & Attorney General of Ghana, and exchanged views on China-Ghana relations and legal cooperation.

Ambassador Sun congratulated Hon. Ms. Akuffo on her assumption of office. Sun said that the China-Ghana economic and trade cooperation is booming and fruitful in recent years. China has been the largest trade partner of Ghana. H.E. President Nana Akufo-Addo emphasizes advancing the rule of law repeatedly. The Ministry of Justice of Ghana will play a more important role in national affairs. The Chinese side would like to continue to support Ghana on personnel training, deepen bilateral legal cooperation, and push the China-Ghana relations to a new height.

Hon. Ms. Akuffo gave Ambassador Sun a warm welcome, and extended her gratitude to China’s effort on the assistance of capacity building of Ministry of Justice. Ms. Akuffo said that the Ghana-China relations are developing rapidly with the coexistence of both opportunities and challenges. The Ghanaian side hopes to learn from China’s experiences on anti-corruption, continue to strength bilateral legal cooperation, solve relevant issues in accordance with laws and regulations, and bring Ghana-China relations a notch higher.
