Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong Invited Minister of Energy of Ghana to the Ambassador's Residence

On August 1st 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong invited Minister of Energy of Ghana Hon. Boakye Agyarko to the Ambassador’s Residence. Deputy Minister of Energy Hon. Owuraku Aidoo, Technical Adviser to the Minister of Energy Mr. Michael Opam, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana Mr. Chai Zhijing attended the meeting.

Ambassador Sun welcomed Hon. Boakye Agyarko to the Residence. She lauded the traditional friendship and energy cooperation between the two countries and introduced the fruitful results of the visit by H.E. Ghanaian Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to China. Ambassador Sun said that the Chinese side would keep communication with the Ghanaian side to promote the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector to a notch higher.

Hon. Boakye Agyarko thanked Ambassador Sun for her invitation and expressed appreciation to the contributions made by the Chinese enterprises to Ghana’s energy industry. Hon. Agyarko said that the Ghanaian side would keep close contact with the Chinese side on energy cooperation, deepen and expand bilateral energy cooperation to benefit the people of the two countries.
