Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong met with the new British High Commissioner to Ghana

On October 11st, 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong met with the new British High Commissioner to Ghana H.E. Iain Walker, and exchanged views on China-UK relations and relevant cooperation between the two countries in Ghana.

Ambassador Sun welcomed High Commissioner Walker to assume his office in Ghana and introduced the achievements of China-Ghana cooperation in recent years. Ambassador Sun said that the Chinese Embassy stands ready to work with the British High Commission to earnestly implement the consensus of forging a “Golden Age” of China-UK relations reached by the leaders of both countries, further strengthen bilateral cooperation in Ghana, achieve a win-win situation, and assist Ghana in speeding its socio-economic development.

High Commissioner Walker thanked Ambassador Sun for her introduction. He said that UK and China share sound and firm relations and have a broad space for tri-partite cooperation in Ghana. The British High Commission is willing to further strengthen communication with the Chinese Embassy, explore more areas of cooperation and help Ghana realizing economic transformation and industrialization.
