| Two Aid Agreements Signed between China and Ghana | ||||

China and Ghana have signed two agreements comprising a grant and an interest free loan which will be used for implementation of the projects agreed on by the two parties. H.E Yu Wenzhe, the Chinese Ambassador, and the Hon. Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei, Minster of State of Ghana, signed the agreements respectively. In his address, H.E. Yu Wenzhe, commended Ghana for her macro economic achievement saying that he was optimistic that Ghana would reach the middle-income status by 2015. He pledged his country's support to Ghana's development efforts saying the China would help to the best of her ability to bring concrete results for the benefit of the people of the two countries. Hon. Dr. Anthony Akoto-Osei, in his remarks, stated that the extension of facility was an indication of the growing confidence of China in the government of Ghana. Recounting the numerous development aid facilities to Ghana by China, he mentioned the National Communication Backbone Project, the Office Complex of Ministry of Defence, the Youth Cultural Center in Kumasi as some of those earmarked for funding by the Chinese Government.
