On 2 November 2009, the Chinese Embassy in Ghana donated office equipment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. The equipments, including 25 desktop computers, 5 laptops and 10 printers. It was the first donation made by the diplomatic corps in Accra to the ministry whose office building was struck by fire two weeks ago.

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Yu Wenzhe, who made the donation said the Government and people of China were very concerned about the sad calamity that destroyed the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He said the Chinese Foreign Minister had sent a special message of sympathy and solidarity to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghanan, Hon. Alhaji Mohammad Mumuni, thanked the Chinese Government for donating the office equipment and said it was a sign of continuous friendship between the two countries. "The support will help us to overcome the reverses following the burning of our offices," he stressed.
