Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Mdm. Sun Baohong Met with the Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic

On 12th September 2016, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong met with the Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic Prof. Nicholas N. N. Nsowah-Nuamah at the Chinese Embassy.

Mr. Nsowah-Nuamah spoke highly of the fruitful achievement of cooperation on education between China and Ghana in recent years, and expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for supporting Ghana’s education, especially talents cultivation. He said that Kumasi Polytechnic expects to constantly deepen cooperation with Chinese universities in personnel exchanges, Chinese language teaching and intercollegiate cooperation.

Ambassador Sun congratulated Mr. Nsowah-Nuamah on the upgrading of Kumasi Polytechnic to a technical university, and thanked the institute for attaching great importance to Chinese language teaching. Ambassador Sun said that the Minister of Education of Ghana Nana Jane Opoku - Agyeman recently led a delegation to pay an official visit to China and held bilateral talks with her Chinese counterpart Mr. Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education of China, reaching a concensus of jointly deepening China-Ghana educational exchanges and cooperation. She hoped that Kumasi Polytechnic would actively implement the consensus reached by the two Ministers, and continue to promote educational exchanges and cooperation to benefit the two peoples.
