Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong visited the Ashanti Region (Ⅱ)

On 16 February 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong met with Prof. Owusu Achaw, representative of the Vice Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU).

Ambassador Sun extended her gratitude to the warm reception of KsTU and its long-term support to Chinese teaching, and gave a brief introduction of China-Ghana cooperation on education. Ambassador Sun said that in recent years the Chinese side and KsTU have enjoyed rapid and fruitful cooperation. The Chinese side is ready to cooperate with KsTU in fields of Chinese teaching and exchanges of higher institutions.

P rof. Achaw warmly welcomed the visit of Ambassador Sun and extended his gratitude to China’s long-term support to KsTU. Prof. Achaw said that the Chinese teaching in KsTU has maintained the sound momentum of development, with 200 students studying Chinese now. At present, KsTU is in transition from a Polytechnic to a technical university. He hoped that the Chinese side could continue to render support to KsTu. KsTu is ready to play a bigger role in enhance China-Ghana relations.
