Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm SUN Baohong Attends the CEIBS Alumni Ghana Chapter Dinner

On November 18, 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. SUN Baohong attended the Alumni dinner of the China Europe International Business School(CEIBS), Accra campus and delivered a keynote speech entitled "China's New Journey, World's New Opportunity." More than 120 CEIBS alumni attended the ceremony including Professor Mathew Tsamenyi, the CEIBS Africa Executive Director, Mr.David Amoo-Osae, President of CEIBS Alumni Association Ghana Chapter and other CEIBS alumni from Nigeria, Togo and etc.

Ambassador SUN said in her speech that since its foundation, the People's Republic of China has gone through an unprecedented, magnificent and extremely extraordinary journey. Since China started the reform and opening up, and especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China has encountered profound and fundamental changes, scored comprehensive and pioneering achievements and made fresh headway in national development. Sun pointed out that China's achievements should be attributed to the path China has found which suits its national conditions, the strong leadership of the CPC and the spirit of China that provides an inexhaustible impetus to China and its people.

Ambassador SUN stressed that the 19th National Congress of the CPC was successfully held in Beijing last month. The meeting proposed a series of new theories and new ideas and clearly outlined the timetable and road map for building a great modern socialist country. Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people will embark on a new journey. China will deepen the supply-side structural reform, accelerate the building of an innovative country, make new ground in pursing opening up on all fronts, unswervingly guarantee and improve the lives of the people, forge a new form of international relations and promote the building of a community of shared future for mankind. Ambassador SUN stressed that China is walking on a new journey with faster pace of innovation, better development quality and a higher level of opening up. China's development will create more new opportunities for the world as well as Africa and Ghana.

Professor Tsamenyi warmly welcomed Ambassador SUN for attending the dinner and expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Ghana for the support and assistance to the school. Professor Tsamenyi pointed out that the CEIBS Accra campus has trained a group of elites for the African continent who have become an important force for the development of Africa. Professor Tsamenyi expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by China in recent years and the strong leadership of the CPC. He also emphasized that developing countries, especially African countries should learn from China's advanced development experience to promote industrialization and economic transformation of Africa.
