Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mr. Shi Ting Wang And His Wife Pay a Courtesy Call on the Second Lady of the Republic Of Ghana

On September 12, 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Shi Ting Wang and his wife Mrs. Zhao Man paid a courtesy call on the Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Samira Bamumia.

Ambassador Wang thanked H.E. Mrs. Samira Bawumia for sparing time to meet with them and said he is very glad to meet the Second lady. China-Ghana relations is enjoying a sound development momentum. H.E. President Akufo-Addo just attended the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and paid a state visit to China. The leaders of the two countries held cordial and friendly talks and reached important consensus. In addition, the two countries signed eight cooperation documents, making the visit a complete success. The Chinese Embassy in Ghana will maintain close communication with the Ghanaian side to jointly implement the outcomes of the visit.

H.E. Mrs. Samira Bawumia congratulated Ambassador Wang on his position as the new Chinese Ambassador to Ghana. She expressed her willingness to fully support Ambassador Wang in fulfilling his duty. Mrs. Bawumia said that President Akufo-Addo was very satisfied with his visit to China and attendance of the Beijing Summit. The visit further deepened his understanding of China and he urged Ghana to change its mindset, learn from China and strengthen its pragmatic cooperation with China. H.E. Mrs. Samira Bawumia hoped that the two countries would continue to strengthen people-to-people exchanges. She would be glad that more and more Ghanaians start to learn the Chinese language.
