CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO GHANA H. E. MADAM SUN BAOHONG INVITES GHANA'S PRESIDENTIAL CHIEF OF STAFF TO HER OFFICIAL RESIDENCE

On February 27, 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong invited Hon. Mdm. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff of the Presidency of Ghana to her Residence. Mdm. Gifty Ohene Konadu, National Coordinator of the “One District, One Factory” initiative, Mr. Kinsgley Agyemang, Managing Director of Ghana Scholarships Secretariat as well as the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Chai Zhijing also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Sun welcomed Hon. Mdm. Osei-Opare and other dignitaries to her Residence. She said that the high-level exchanges between China and Ghana were close, the economic and trade cooperation achieved fruitful results, and the people to people exchanges were warm in 2017. The relations between the two countries continued to deepen unceasingly. Ambassador Sun welcomed H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana to attend the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing in September this year writing a new chapter in the friendship and cooperation between China and Africa.

Hon. Frema Osei-Opare thanked Ambassador Sun for her invitation. She expressed her appreciation for China’s support to Ghana's economic and social development, especially China’s important contribution to the "One District, One Factory" initiative proposed by President Akufo-Addo. The Ghanaian side is looking forward to the upcoming Beijing Summit and will continue to deepen its cooperation with China so as to jointly promote the further development of Ghana-China relations.
