CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO GHANA H.E. MDM. SUN BAOHONG INVITES GHANA'S SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT TO HER RESIDENCE

On March 9th, 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong invited the Speaker of Parliament of Ghana Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye to her Residence. Wife of the Speaker Mrs. Alberta Oquaye, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Chai Zhijing and Director of the Political Section of the Embassy Ms. Lou Danzhu attended the meeting.

Ambassador Sun welcomed Hon. Speaker of Parliament to her Residence and positively evaluated the traditional friendship between the two countries and introduced the latest developments in China-Ghana cooperation. Ambassador Sun said that China is willing to maintain close communication with the Ghanaian Parliament and jointly promote the development of China-Ghana relations.

Hon. Speaker Oquaye thanked Ambassador Sun for her invitation and recalled pleasantly his visit to China as Minister of Energy more than a decade ago. Hon. Speaker Oquaye said that the visit to the Residence of Chinese Ambassador makes him feel like returning to Beijing. Hon. Speaker Oquaye said that Ghana-China relations have enjoyed a good momentum of development in recent years and the cooperation between the two countries has yielded fruitful results. The Ghanaian Parliament is willing to work with the Chinese side to continuously expand the depth and width of the friendly cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of both peoples.
