CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO GHANA H.E. MDM. SUN BAOHONG MEETS WITH GHANA'S MINISTER FOR INFORMATION

On March 23rd 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong invited the Ghanaian Minister for Information, Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and his wife to her residence. The Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana Mr. Jiang Zhouteng was present at the meeting.

Ambassador Sun briefed Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid on the latest development of China-Ghana relations and said that the year 2018 is an important year for China-Ghana relations. The Summit on Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held in Beijing in September. The outcomes of the summit will inject new driving force into China-Ghana cooperation. Ambassador Sun hoped that the Ghanaian media would increase its efforts to promote China-Ghana friendship and cooperation and make positive contributions to enhancing mutual trust and creating a good atmosphere for cooperation. Ambassador Sun further expressed that China would continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the media sector of our two countries.

Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid thanked China for its long-standing support for Ghana's national construction and capacity building of the Ghanaian media. He said that China is a good friend of Ghana and would like to continue to strengthen cooperation with China in the field of journalism and guide the Ghanaian media to actively report on China-Ghana friendly cooperation.
