Chinese Ambassador To Ghana H.E. Shi Ting Wang Meets With Minister For Foreign Affairs And Regional Integration

On the 9th of November 2018, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Shi Ting Wang met with Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana. Ms.Genevieve Apaloo, Director of Asia and Pacific Bureau, Mr. Samuel Kumah, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and the Director of the Political Section of the Embassy, Ms. Lou Danzhu were present at the meeting.

Ambassador Wang said that in September this year, H.E. President Akufo-Addo attended the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and paid a state visit to China. The leaders of the two countries held cordial and friendly talks and reached important consensus. The China-Ghana relation is facing new important development opportunities. China is willing to work closely with Ghana to jointly implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit and the President’s state visit to China and bring more benefits to people of the two countries.

Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey thanked China for the meticulous arrangements made for H.E. President Akufo-Addo during his visit to China. She said that the Ghanaian government attaches great importance to developing relations with China. Ghana would like to take the opportunity of implementing the outcome of the FOCAC Summit and the President's visit to China to work closely with China to promote the continuous deepening of bilateral relations.
