On April 4 2018, the outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong paid a farewell call on the First Lady of Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Ambassador Sun thanked Mrs. Akufo-Addo for attaching great importance to the development of China-Ghana relations and for her strong support towards the work of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana. Ambassador Sun said that the China-Ghana relations is enjoying stronger momentum for development. Last year, H.E. the First Lady paid a successful visit to China. China will actively implement the results of the visit and carry out more cooperation with Ghana in education and other fields in order to promote China-Ghana relations to a higher level.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo thanked Ambassador Sun for her contribution to the development of Ghana, especially for the considerate arrangements made during her visit to China last year. Mrs. Akufo-Addo further pointed out that the trip to China was an unforgettable experience of lifetime. Mrs. Akufo-Addo felt sad for Ambassador Sun's departure and stated that she would continue to support the work of the new Chinese Ambassador to Ghana and that of the Chinese Embassy.
