On 15 October 2015, Political Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Ghana Mr. Wang Sheng met with Mr. Bernard Otabil, General Manager of Ghana News Agency (GNA). Counselor Wang spoke highly of the active role GNA has played in promoting China-Ghana friendship and enhancing Ghanaian people's better understanding of China. He hoped GNA can further strengthen its cooperation with Xinhua News Agency and other Chinese Media, as well as guide the Ghanaian media to increase objective and fair coverage of China.
Mr. Otabil made a brief introduction of GNA, and said that GNA attaches great importance to its relation with China and will set up a China Desk shortly to cover, collect and edit China news. GNA is willing to further enhance the exchanges and cooperation with Chinese Embassy in Ghana and relevant Chinese media.
